How would you describe the WWC style?

Deeply personal. We create beautiful images through connection, preparation and intuition behind the camera. We know what’s going to be a favourite before we take it because we know what’s beautiful to you. The result is timeless, luminous images of your genuine emotions and interactions that will be just as shareable twenty years from now as they are today.

How does the Whistler Wedding Collective work?

We have a team that oversees all the details of your day from communicating your timeline and special requests to your photographers to checking your location ahead of time for any unexpected changes and overseeing the backup of your images. Alyssa mentors all photographers and oversees their creative and professional expertise.

Who will photograph our wedding?

Our deep trust in each other and the WWC process inspires us to create work any one of us would be proud to put our name to. Will we need a second shooter?

When you book 6 or more hours coverage, we automatically book a second shooter for you. We believe this gives you the absolute best coverage & experience.

Do you use digital or film? Do you photograph in colour or b&w?
What type of equipment do you use?

Because of the greater flexibility and reliability of digital photography, we are 100 percent digital. Digital also allows us greater security when it comes to backing up your most important shots. That said we are also suckers for the look of film…. We love bringing a polaroid to your wedding and sometimes an old film camera so we can get some extra, creative shots to add to your final product.

We offer both colour and black & white! We generally convert as our eyes and artistic style see best, but this can always be changed at a later date.

We are a solid mix here in the Collective between Nikon and Canon and Sony. We also shoot with a full range of professional lenses and we always arrive at your wedding with a back up camera!

Will you back up my images?

We back up all of your images immediately to ensure their safety. Actually, we are completely obsessive about back up and always makes sure to have your images in 2 separate locations. We also bring backup equipment to all weddings in case of equipment failure.

When do we get to see our photos?

We will provide you with a sneak peek for sharing within 48 hours of your wedding. Your entire collection will be ready for you to view approximately six to eight weeks after your wedding date. Each image is professionally edited. We will deliver approximately 75 edited images for each hour of photographing. We shoot a lot more than this, but not every shot makes the final cut.

Do WWC photographers do engagement shoots?

An engagement shoot is included in our complete day coverage option - if you have hired us for less hourly coverage you will be given an opportunity to add this on. Proposals, Engagement and pre and post wedding shoots to document this chapter of your love story from beginning to end can also be booked. Please contact us for pricing.

How do we make sure we have a team of vendors to match their style and professionalism?

Check out our recommended Sea to Sky wedding vendors for our picks of the most creative and professional wedding services in the Sea to Sky corridor. We only recommend vendors that have impressed us repeatedly with their artistry, attention to detail, reliability and service. If they’re on the list, they’re the real deal! See something you like in our photos or have a special request? Just ask us about it - we’ll likely know the person who created the magic and can point you in their direction or introduce you to a vendor that can create something just as original and beautiful for you.

Can I add more time to my Whistler wedding photography package?

Absolutely. Approximately 8 weeks prior to your wedding day we will send you a questionnaire in which you can indicate any extra hours you would like to add. On the day of if you choose to keep your photographer(s) longer, we will happily add the hours to a new invoice. Sometimes the unexpected happens with your timeline - don't worry, we got you.
