Photographers, florists, caterers, musicians, designers, and everything in between: each of your vendors help make your wedding dreams a reality. But, with so many wonderful people and businesses to choose from, how on earth will you decide who to bring onto your wedding team?

Here’s our number one tip for you: choose the people who you want to spend your special day with!

It goes beyond just the service they provide. Your vendors are people who you’ll actually get to know well: between extensive preparations, the wedding day itself, and anything that needs to happen afterward — you’ll end up spending hours and hours with these fantastic people! That means, it’s best to work with people who you click with, and who you feel a special synergy with.

If you ask us, it makes sense: the wedding industry is a beautiful place to work! We’re surrounded by beauty, witnessing and supporting people during one of the most touching, memorable, and emotionally expansive days of their lives. It’s incredibly special, and easy to feel passionate about!

The vendors you get to choose between aren’t just blandly offering a service. Most likely, they feel sentimental about you and your family, and the beautiful memories you’re making. (Case in point: we often become friends with the people whose weddings we photograph!) It’s important to choose vendors who you want to welcome into your inner circle, and whose company you’ll immensely enjoy.

 

It’s so much more than just an exchange of money for their goods and services. The people you hire will contribute their unique energy and personality to the overall feeling and atmosphere of your day — which creates the signature for a beautiful new chapter of your life.

When you’re scoping out different options, absolutely hone in on whose services resonate with you: which planner’s packages fit your budget and expectations; the florists whose designs you can’t stop daydreaming about; the photographers whose images made you swoon. The services themselves are, of course, incredibly important.

 

But don’t end your research there! Hop on a call: almost all vendors will be happy to have a complimentary phone, Zoom, or in person meeting with you. Use your intuition to feel into each person and what they’re like. Who made you feel welcomed, seen, and understood? Who’s bubbly personality made you think, “more of this, please!” Who just had the general vibe that you know you want to be a part of your special day — and your life’s memories? Let the answers to those questions guide your decisions.
